Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. introduced the EB 16/4 Veyron concept, a 16 cylinder car producing 1001 bhp DIN (736 kW)in 2001. The Veyron will be the most powerful and expensive car in the world when it reaches production. It is named for the famed Bugatti racing driver, Pierre Veyron. As of September 2004, the Veyronhas been expected to be released in the second half of 2005.
